Who are the Partners?
The structure of Galway City Partnership is made up of representatives from statutory agencies, community organisations, social partners and locally elected representatives. Policy is set by a representative Board of Directors via actions agreed and recommended by Advisory Committees. Partnership staff carry out these actions undertaking work with and on behalf of the groups we support.
What do we do?
We have been established to tackle long term unemployment, disadvantage and to combat social exclusion. In essence, we work with individuals, groups and communities who did not benefit from the Celtic Tiger. Our work focuses particularly on a number of target groups and target areas in the city and takes many forms.
Full details of our work and our plans for the coming years can be seen in our Strategic Plan.
