Who Do We Work With?
The Youth Advocacy Service works mainly with young people and early school leavers and who are usually between the ages of 15 and 20.
Our role is to provide support for young people in drafting an individualised ‘Career Path Plan’ and encouraging clients to access training, education or employment opportunities via a combination of: Mentoring, Advocacy, Guidance, Information and Counselling (‘M.A.G.I.C.’)
We can offer a step-by-step Career Guidance Programme that
may include some, or all, of the following:

- Help with clarifying aptitudes and interests.

- Information about the Education, Employment and Training options available.
- Explaining the value of work experience and the importance of developing vocational skills.
- Help with developing job search skills.
- Assisting clients into training, onto an appropriate educational course or into employment.
- On-going supports and tracking - from initial contact with us & onwrds into training, education or employment.
